Regional Red Dry Wine of Peloponnese
ONNAR MALEATIS 2006
Agiorgitiko (50 %)
Mavraki (50 %)
Vinification: Selected grapes of Agiorgitiko and Mavraki varieties are destemed and crushed. The grapes are inoculated by selected strains of dry active yeast. The color extraction is being done at 28 C. Malolactic fermentation also takes place. Afterwards, the wine is aged for six months in new oak barrels.
Maleatis red wine is a blend of Agiorgitiko and Mavroudi. The grapes are from vineyards that are located in the slopes of Monemvasia. The vineyards from where these grapes are collected, give the wine a rich body, with good acidity and great aromas. The sort passage in new oak barrels gives the wine the aroma of vanilla and a discreet wood fragrance.
Ruby color, gooseberry, cherry, coffee, vanilla, smoke nose, good firm structure, long, elegant finish.
