ONNAR LALOUDI 2007
Grape varieties:
Agiorgitiko (100%)
Vinification:
Selected grapes of the Agiorgitiko variety are destemed and crushed. The grapes are inoculated by selected strains of dry active yeast. The color extraction is being done at 28 C. The grape must remain with its skin from 7 to 11 days. Fermentation lasts approximately 12 days. Malolactic fermentation also takes place. Afterwards, the wine is aged for twelve months in new oak barrels.
Wine description:
Laloudi means flower. It is made from Agiorgitiko variety.
The grapes are from vineyards in the slopes of Monemvasia. Their basic characteristics are the high alcohol content, the deep ruby color, the good ripe tannins and the fruity, smoke nose. The sort passage in new oak barrels gives to the wine the butter caramel and a discreet wood fragrance.
